The top oven of my MER6772BS does not get up to the temperature that is indicated on the display. It is about 100 degrees F too low. 1) I set the top oven to bake at 350 degrees and put an oven thermometer inside. 2) The temperature in the control window on the oven shows the temperature increasing gradually until it reads 350 deg. The thermometer that I put in the oven reads about 100 degrees less. 3) When I do the same test on the lower oven the temperature in the control window and the temperature indicated on the oven thermometer both go to about 350 deg. I have tried to adjust the temperature calibration, but it can only compensate for about 30 degrees. Is there another adjustment that can be made? Is there a component that needs to be replaced? Thanks for your help.

The oven does not heat to the set temperature. It is usually much hotter

You can have the oven recalibrated by a professional OR you can purchase an oven thermometer and check the temperature yourself. Place the oven thermometer in the oven.Set the oven to a specific temperature. When it indicates it is at that temperature check the thermometer. Adjust your setting by that many degrees. For instance, if you set the temp at 350 and the oven thermometer shows 450, then reduce your temperature setting by 100 degrees each time you use the oven.

Hello,

It will be the sensor inside the oven compartment that is causing the problem.

My Kitchen Aid Supuerba top covection oven will heat to set temp 350-400 then drop over 100 degree's but still read on digital display 350 or 400

how do you know it is dropping 100 degrees ?
If the set temperature is 350-400 the heaters will work untill the thermostat will read that the temperature is reached - after that the heaters will shut down and the temperature will drop...and after few minutes when the temperature goes below thw set point (in this case 350-400) the heaters will turn on again - this will happen for the duration of the timing you have selected (example 45 minutes)
