I have just purchased a printer scanner copier and fax from argos where do i get my fax number from please?

Can double check the model number please as our ricoh system doesnt have that model number. otherwise contact our support office from 8.00am to 5.00 pm Mondays to Fridays

Go to fax setup and change your fax number to the number you wish

The Lexmark P6250 is an "all-in-one" Printer/Scanner/Copier, but does not include hard-line fax capability.

Unfortunately, there came a time when the manufacturers began referring to any printer/scanner/copier as an "all-in-one" whether it included direct faxing or not. Many of them do not, which makes for a very confusing purchase!

The user's guide (which can be found at www.lexmark.com) gives a basic overview of how to fax using their included software, but in order to do so, you will need to have a dial-up fax modem in your computer, or some kind of internet fax service.

The Lexmark X4270 printer uses cartridge number 70, 71 and 75 for the Mono Ink Cartridge. For the Color Ink Cartridge it uses 19,20 and 25. You can check this link - http://bit.ly/d2bbwm if you want to purchase these cartridges. Thanks.

If you are using the scanner to send a fax, you may have to set th date, time and other settings to enable the scanner to operate when faxing out. Please read the following from the service manual of this machine:

The Telephone Consumer Protection Act of
1991 makes it unlawful for any person to
use a computer or electronic device to send
any message via a telephone fax machine
unless such messages clearly contain, in a
margin at the top or bottom of each
transmitted page, or on the first page of the
transmission, the date and time it is sent
and an identification of the business or
other entity or other individual sending the
message and the telephone number of the
sending machine or such business, other
entity or individual.

faxing,scanning and copying use the same mechanism,thts the scanner,if its doing it intermittently you can try a reset on the printer.see if tht works.

the issue needs to be resolved on the other end..It's not an issue with your machine...They need to do 1 of 3 things...either setup distinctive ring with their phone company...or purchase a fax line.. or get something called "the stick"

take it back to the company where you purchased it at!
