Question about Kenmore 3.8 cu. ft. HE3 Front Load Washer
I appreciate any and all help I can obtain. Our Kenmore HE3T washer we purchased 2 years ago started throwing a F/DL code Error 1.5 years into our purchase. We have been very happy with the machine until now. Normally we would cancel out the error by stopping the wash and opening and closing the door. Now the problem is getting much worse. We must unplug the machine to clear the error. Usually we get an F/11 to follow. Now we have to cancel and restart the wash and pray it completes without repeating. I have found a lot of chatter regarding this issue on the web, many suggestions, but before I spend $$$$$$$ I want to ensure I am heading down the right path.
Starting with F 11 which is a serial communication error. I would pop the top by removing the three screws from the back top and look down the right front side and look with a bright light for any thing broken or loose. Then I would unplug the washer and trace the power connect back to the ccu, usually has three pink wires and also the two with blue wires. Although it has a serial error sometimes the power is corrupt because the connect is loose or corroded. I would un plug and re plug the three sets of cables, the blue usually have ds or ds1 as a label, the second is replacing the latch/lock/ sensor and doing the plugs.
