Why am I unable to send a fax?

Are you running ADSL on your fax phone line ? Will need an ADSL line Splitter with fax plugged into phone side of splitter. Could also be plugged into a PBX extension then you need to convert analogue to digital for PBX.

What collaboration capabilities are available on the new Cisco 2900 and 3900 Series routers?

According to my experience and knoledge: the Cisco 2900 and 3900 series platforms have collaboration feature parity with the Cisco 2800 and 3800 Series platforms, so all of the following collaboration capabilities and solutions are present:
• Cisco Unified Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST)
• Cisco Unified Border Element
• Time-division multiplexing public-switched-telephone-network (TDM PSTN) and private-branch-exchange (PBX) gateways
• VoiceXML contact-center gateways
• Cisco Unified Communications Manager (UCM) media resources (allowing conferencing, transcoding, and Media Termination Point [MTP])
• Resource Reservation Protocol (RSVP) Agent
• Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express (CME)
• Cisco Unified SIP Proxy
• Gatekeeper

3COM 3100 entry phone, how to configure SIP

From Digium Mailing List:

3Com 3100 series phones do not support SIP with non-3Com systems. They have a basic boot loader which must download code from a 3Com NBX or a 3Com VCX system. If you don't have either of these, then you won't get runtime code on the phone, thereby making it impossible to use the thing with Asterisk.

Grandstream gxp1200 not registering. Hi! I have this particular Grandstream GXP1200 IP phone, it does not register even after entering all the parameters correctly, saved and rebooting the phone. When I...

Is this an external extension or internal on your LAN? Your host is on the same LAN? What system are you connecting it to? Is there a VLAN involved? Is this a managed switch? You simply haven't given enough information for anyone to help you.

You said you configured it as a different extension and it worked perfectly, that implies that the problem is on the PBX system and not the phone. Are you running any sort of End Point Manager to tell the PBX what type of system to talk to?

3com 3300 TM - all Ethernet port not working, power led flashing

A blinking power LED means that the switch is either downloading software, or is initializing which also includes running the Power On Self Test. You may have firmware issues with the switch and/or the switch is stuck in initialization mode. You may have to contact 3com regarding a warranty issue. Hope this helps. Good luck.
