Buttons the L, R, D-pad up, and down fail to work at sometimes.

brakes have pads (sometimes called shoes) that press against a round disc connected to the wheels that go round and round to stop the car moving. When the pads wear down you get metal rubbing on metal rather than a heat absorbing material rubbing on the metal disc.If you do not get your brake pads checked they can wear down / damage the metal disc and then have to spend lots of dollars getting the metal disc re - machined smooth (this disc is called a rotor) and new brake pads.
You are correct the warning light on the dash will not light up it will light up only if the hydraulic fluid used to press the pads onto the disc fails and you then fail to stop. .

There is usually a reset button on the back where you insert a small pin and hold it down for a minute. Another common way is to hold the power button down for a minute or sometimes the power and home buttons together.

Try holding down button at top to turn iPad completely until Apple logo appears on screen. That's a complete shut down. Leave off for two minutes, turn back on. If still not able to download email, contact Apple. Sometimes it's Yahoo or other provider that's holding up the works. If case, Yahoo might suggest creating new account. See if total iPad shut down works first.

This means one of two things. The touch pad has failed or the touch pad is locked. Hold down the heated dry button for three seconds. If that does not work, the touch pad would need to be replaced.

Is there a button with a light on it near your touch pad, sometimes these buttons don't have lights? Usually this button is centered on the bottom or top of the touch pad. If there is a button like this, then try pressing it to see if it gives you functionality of the touch pad. If you do have a button like this and it doesn't resolve the problem then there is a possibility that the touch pad has malfunctioned or that the connector has come loose somehow. If you don't have this type of button then look at your keyboard to see if there is a function key for turning off\on the touch pad. Look for the FN key. What color is it? Then look at the keys that have icons in that color. If you find one that you believe is for the keyboard then try pressing that key and the FN key at the same time.

It sounds like either the function pad or the upper electronics is starting to fail. Also it maybe a loose connection between the function pad and upper electronics remove the upper console and inspect the connections. If you need to replace the parts sometimes with Icon products they are either separate items or they are one complete unit, you will have to call them @ 1-800-999-3756.

sometimes the bobbin winder gets left closed, and that will make the machine run slowly and with no up/down button.

Touch pad is failing.Try not to get any moisture around this touch pad.Biggest mistake for all appliances is the touch pad and water dont mix well.

Your Control Key Pad is a circuit with each function and button a switch. The pad on your TV Remote, and Telephone is no different. The Key Pad is failing, It will only get worse. Determine if you can replace the Touch (Key) Pad. Not the Control Circuit, just the Touch Pad. Sometimes you can get it seperate. It connects by a Flex Cable to the Control Circuit.

Contact problem more common with any phone. Simply problem, somtimes you have to take a part the phone clean it, dry it to fix that.
You can buy a special cleanig solution for wather dammage from ebay if you realy want to fix this alone.
