Trouble Code: P0871 (3.5L V6 VIN G Auto)
A/T O/D Pressure Switch Circuit Malfunction


Trouble Code Conditions:
Engine started; vehicle driven in a forward gear, and the PCM detected that the O/D Pressure Switch circuit indicated open or closed at the wrong time.

Possible Causes:

  • Related DTCs may be present
  • O/D pressure is incorrect, or internal transmission faults exist
  • O/D pressure switch circuit is open, shorted to ground or power
  • O/D pressure switch is damaged or it has failed
  • TCM relay power circuit to O/D switch is open (loss of B+)
  • Intermittent wiring or connector problems exist
  • PCM or TCM has failed


Trouble Code: P0700 (3.5L V6 VIN G Auto)
Automatic Transmission Control System Malfunction


Trouble Code Conditions:
Ignition on or engine started. The PCM received a message over the CCD Bus from the Transmission Control Module (TCM) that it had detected a problem and set a trouble code in memory.

Possible Causes:

  • The presence of this code means the TCM detected a problem
  • TCM related Sensor has solenoid is damaged or has failed
  • This code is for information only - check for other TCM codes
  • TCM or PCM has failed

the code you would be getting is a po340 look at the signal on a lab scope if you dont have a scanner turn the ignition key on/off/on/off/on and the code should be seen in the display then google it
