Though i need 2 know d os u r using..but so sorry pal, wat evr os it is, it seems pirated version or d product key is in valid..therefore itz being tracked by microsoft (or other os provider) & thus locked ur pc n giving u a warning..i'll suggest u to use original product key or original version of windows....

plz do reply with ur windows version, so i cn suggest u more....

Windows no longer detects its activating files so thinks that you have a pirated version - it's a well known problem for which there is only one solution: you must reinstall it.
So use the recovery cd that came with the pc when you bought it and reinstall.

The only way you will ever get to get rid of that annoying counterfeit message is to install a genuine windows software, i.e. you need to purchase a unique windows software/CD for that pc. If you purchase the windows software, then during installation, in which you much boot from CD/DVD drive, you must select repair. That way all your documents will be preserved intact for you. The counterfeit message really simply is saying to you that, “look, this copy of the windows is actually owned by someone else and has been registered as such on Microsoft server.” Microsoft requires that each PC have a unique CD/software.

since start aug 23 2009 wenever i switch on my pc the welcum screen appears and den on it a dialog box appears as ur copy of windows didnt pass genuine windows validation and u may b a victim os software counterfeiting and der r 2 options "resolve now" or "resolve later". so as i click on resolve now my screen bcums black(wallpaper) and at the right hand corner the dialog blog consists of ur windows did not pass genuine windows and that stuff but i dont wanna install new software just want to get rid of tht **** pls pls pls pls help its freaking me man???? waiting for reply pl pls help????

You will have to go to Microsoft.com and relicense your copy of Windows XP. You can purchase a new key and see if that will reset the desktop or wait until the CD arrives to reaload it.

Victim of software counterfeiting
This means the Windows Validation Tool has checked your installed copy of Windows and has found it to be a non-genuine copy. This means the product key is non valid.

Where did you get the PC? If a "friend" installed Windows for you then he is using illegal product keys.

If you are sure your Windows is genuine, you need to telephone Microsoft and fight it out with them.

sir it is possible that you got a pirated or counterfeited copy, you should reformat your drive and buy a licensed windows program. and use that to install your programs to you computer. thank you and fix ya.
