Hi there!!
The message that you're getting means that either the back cover is not closed securely or there's a jammed paper inside. Here's what you can do to clear the message:
-Please unplug the fax machine for your safety -Open the front cover -Remove the toner & drum assembly (theres a handle in the center of the drum/toner assembly, just pull it towards you. -Remove any pieces of paper stuck or the jammed paper -Remove the toner from the drum and check for any other pieces of paper stuck -Once everything is clear -Reinstall the toner back into the drum and the drum & toner assembly to the fax machine. You should hear it click into place once installed correctly -Close the front cover & plug in the power cord. That should clear the message
Hope this helps, Thumbs up if it does, thanks!

Phaser 7750 Not Printing, No Error codes, Fuser Wont Warm Up, Wont Detect Open Trays or Doors

It sounds like one of the cover or tray sensors is not working correctly. Check the actuator on the fuser cover, sometimes these break off so the printer thinks the cover is still open. If that seems ok and you have a lower tray deck unplug it to eliminate them as the cause.

It wont stop saying paper jam

if you open the printer front cover, check to see that no paper is stuck in the printer, it only takes a small piece to cause a problem, also check in the back of the printer, you can undo the back cover, check to see that there is no paper jammed in the back paper feed rollers.

Always says paper jammed but there is no paper jaming inside

  • Power off the printer for 30 seconds. If the issue persist, follow the steps below.
  • Open the printers front cover and make sure to check for any paper left inside the printer.
  • Verify that you are using media within specification for the printer in terms of size and weight and that the paper is being fed from the appropriate input source.
  • Make sure the paper trays are loaded correctly. Incorrect loading of the trays can result in poor paper feed performance

If you open the cover, the same cover you open to replace the toner. There is a guide that can swing up and down. This sensor is situated in this guide.Swing this giude to the down possition and you will see the arm that actuate the sensor.Make sure this arm is in the correct possition and can swing up and backwards. Some time this arm get stucked against the body of the fax.It normally hapened when the upper cover of the fax was removed.
I believe you can fix this one, it is a relative easy fault

I'm not sure if you've already checked this, but this was my issue. I, too, would try to print something and it would make a great deal of clunking noise but would then say that there was no paper and told me to load some. I went to the Canon site and before I actually went through the process of cleaning the print roller, I checked the feed switch button on the display panel. It's right below the ON/OFF button and, what do you know, it was set to feed from a paper cassette instead of the back loading tray. I pushed the button and it's now printing fine. I'm sure we must have accidentally hit the button when we were trying to turn the printer on or off quickly. Hope this does the trick! It's always nice when it's something easily fixed!

Thesame problem occurs on my machine while copying. I always turn on and off the machine since i already removed the paper jammed inside. Until I thought of removing the toner cartridge and found out that there were still 2 coupon bounds inside it that can not be seen if the cartridge is still intact. After slowly removing it the LCD screen was back to normal!

You have two issues at same time. 1: your printer may have a jam somewhwere. remove all paper, and open unit cover, and see if you can find any bits of paper jammed, remember they can be minute and will still cause big problems. check thoroughly behind unit too, sometimes it helps to use a torch. When you put paper back in, only place a very thin stack, too much will cause feed problems and jams. Make sure paper rest is correctly installed too, and the paper guides either side are not pressing too tight on paper stack sides, they should sit gently beside in line with it not pressuring it. Also check if roller is even, inside and down back. Flick paper stack in fingers to separate pages and never feed bent dogeared or marked paper into unit, even a tiny little notch in it will catch. Try printing now. The scanner issue can usually be resoved by uninstalling the whole printer and reinstalling it, ensuring a thorough reset. Good luck and post back if no help.
