Question about Epson Workforce 520 Printer
I had this issue and contacted epson support. They had me open the top to access the cartridges and physically slide the cartridge from its resting place over to the other side and and there was a small piece of paper that got caught in a print and was between the the ink and the cleaners. I then needed to physically move the cartridges back to the resting place and then close the top. Then on the printer, go to the menu and clean the nossels and the test the cartridge. if the lines are broken at all or you dont see words at the top of the test page, then clean the nozzles again. complete this and print a test page or copy. I was good to go.

I am receiving this same error and the solution below did not work for me. Any other thoughts?
I had been struggling with this problem for 2 days and solved it. "Printer error See Documentation" message but I had cleared all paper jams. Here's how I solved it: Turn off your printer. Open the carriage where you can see the ink cartridges. Slide the ink cartridge carrier all the way to the left manually. Just slide it all the way over with your hand. Don't close the lid yet. Turn on the printer and watch the ink cartridge carrier move. It will slowly move to the right, super slow but will go. Then it should begin to slide back and forth as normal. The error message should disappear then. It seems the printer just needed to reset itself. Hope this helps!
Also, after moving the ink cartridges like tundraflower posted, clean the nozzles and test the cartridge. Works perfectly now.
This worked OMG thank you so much. I could not be more happier, Thanks again.

Mine had same error but instead of a piece of paper stuck in it, the ink cartridge cleaner fell off the track. The cleaner being the foam pad that would be directlyunder the ink cartridge in off position. Just push the two plastic bars back up and over onto its track and that will prevent the ink cartridge from hitting it and causing an error.

Thanks everyone! All your comments and suggestions were helpful. Russell's comment helped me though, not that the cleaner was off track, but just by moving it back and forth helped solve the error message, unfortuantely I had an additional low ink error afterwards, but that's an easy fix as well. Thanks everyone!

This worked exactly as described for me. Had a paper jam, little piece was stuck behind the print cartridge. Back up and working now. Thanks!

I received the same error. All I did was cleaned the ink cartridges and that fixed. I also moved the cartridges to the left to reset the cartridge drive

After trying all of the above multiple time to no avail, I removed all the cartridges again then ANGRILY slid the magazine back and forth 10 or 15 times while calling it names, put the cartridges back in...it seemed to work fine. Called it a few more names just to make sure...no problems since.

This also worked for me but the cause was a power outage during printing. Thanks!
