I'm trying to connect my Wii console to an old magnavox tv my aunt gave me. I don't know how to connect it because it doesn't have the tv/video button on it. I've tried reconnecting everything but I still get the same result, what should I do??

Magnavox input change

If the remote is its original one, there should be a button marked 'TV/AV'. Press this button to select inputs.

Nintendo wii console overheats when playing and the fan is not working

Yeah for sure you aren't going to want to use it until the cooling fan is operational, you're lucky that you didn't kill it altogether. Try unplugging the fan wire, cleaning the metal contacts, and plugging it back in. If that doesn't do it, replace it. If you can't buy aftermarket cooling fans, try looking for wii parts on ebay. Aside from that, do all you can to keep it cool..... don't stack it in-between other warm electronic components (tv, dvd player, etc.), don't place it on a carpeted floor (the carpet will insulate the heat and keep it warm), etc.

Why my Wi says no connection to internet....What do we do?

Check to see if your router has a setup for WiFi and if you don't know contact your internet supplier and ask them for assistance about setting up WiFi. Unfortunately The Wii does not have any wired connection capability or at least there isn't one on mine. Let me know if this does or doesn't work for you.

My Wii isn't in color.

YOU SHOULD CHECK YOUR RCA CONNECTIONS, THERE IS NO REASON YOU SHOULDNT HAVE COLOR. MAKE SURE THEY ARE COLOR CODED PROPERLY ON THE BACK OF THE TV.

Is there anything you can do if your wii is not reading your cd's?

If it doesn't read any cds, you could try asking Nintendo to repair it. I don't know how much that costs.

if you are smart, you read instructions thoroughly and you are willing to risk your wii to a small possibility of bricking you could try and softmodding your wii to play backup games through your external hard drive or sd card.

but i don't recommend it unless you are willing to put a lot of time and research into softmodding your wii.

Good luck

Wii to Philips LCD TV 32"" - sound but no video. Just bought a refurb. Philips LCD TV for our WII. The standard AV cable gave sound, no video. The warning message flashes up in the beginning...

Looks like the AV port in your Philips television is busted. It's the only factor if the Wii is able to function with other tv with the same cable. You can either purchase a new television/get the one you have fixed (these will cost money) or you could just purchase an hdmi cable which doesn't use the same port so it could possibly work with your Philips television.

New sonic sge allstars game will not read on our Wii consol. The kids hav only ever played Wii sports on it that came with it. It is asking for the manual but we don't hav one and I don't have time...

First step is to make sure the disc is facing the correct way in the console. If it doesn't work one way, flip it over to see if it works the other way.

If not; You will need to have your Wii connected to the internet to receive important firmware updates. Without these updates you will find that some newer games do not work with the console.

The Wii is a wireless internet device and will need to connect over the WiFi network.

If this still doesn't work after the update then refer to Nintendo for repair information.

Hope this helps.

I do not know what channel to turn my magnavox tv on for wii

You don't set it to any channel. You select what ever auxiliary input you connected the Wii to to begin with.
