I just bought a GE 1150 watt microwave. It worked fine in the store, but when we plugged it in at home, there is no power. The outlet works because I plugged a night light in and it lit up. Could the outlet be the problem?

I put my Microwave on for 30 min and it suddenly stopped working, suggestions?

If there is no power at all to the display or the panel then it is failure of the board. But if there is power without heating, if the turntable/fan/light works, then it can be related to failure of relay, Magnetron, Waveguide or capacitor.

I believe you have a bad circuit breaker or fuse. If you have a delay fuse contrilling this circuit, that would explain the spotty availability of power to the outlet. Also, a faulty circuit breaker can operate in an irregular way, as you describe.
A microwave oven requires a lot of power, relatively speaking. If your microwave is a 1200 watt model, for example it draws 12 amps of power, which could well be almost all of the power available at that outlet, providing that other appliances were not also drawing power from that circuit at the same time.
I can assist you further, but if this information is all you need to proceed that is fine too. Get back if you need more assistance.

The microwave just stopped working in the middle of heating

Always have something in the microwave before turning on. A glass of water is OK. It's needed to absorbed the energy.
All microwaves will stop if the door is opened. This a safety feature. Never operate with the door opened.
The button below the plug outlet is a test button for the GFI (Ground Fault Interrupter). This is a safety feature of the electrical wiring for your home. Make sure it's turned on.
Since this is a new unit, you may want to take it back to the store you bought from for an exchange/refund.
