I have the 1350 with my HP Pavilion dv6000 running Vista. It's printed in the past with this PC, and when I connect the USB cable it recognizes the device.
However, now the printer's status is perpetually "offline", and printjobs just sit in the queue with nothing happening. The other posts say I dont need to dl any drivers. What should I do to get it printing again?
Remove ALL drivers and software for this device in the control panel, add/remove programs. Go to the HP website Support and software. At this point you may let HP search your computer for their products and it will give you suggested drivers and firmware for their devices that you have connected to your computer. You can also opt to download and install these yourself, just make sure that you pick the drivers for your Vista OS (they are clearly marked). Hope this helps. Simply8718

Also try turning spooler OFF/ON. Also, try turning 1350 OFF/ON. Those sometimes work. But 1350 had same problem with W98SE so must be a problem in 1350 software(?). I got so tired of this that I bought a Canon MFC which works perfectly. Still use 1350 to use up the toner.
Every time this device runs out of paper, it's a hassle. I powered off the pc and the printer, and then moved the usb cable to another usb port. Power on the printer and after it has gone thru its startup, power on the computer. Then the jobs in the queue printed just fine.
Why don't you just highlight what you want to print, place the curser over that and right click choosing copy. Go to the email that you are sending, put the curser where you want it, and right click again choosing paste. Works every time.
you have two cables along with the printer one is power adapter and the other is usb cable, put one end of the usb cable into the printer and the other into the usb port of your hp pavilion a6130n, switch on the laptop, power on the printer, then put the disk that comes along with the printer into the drive, run the setup

got to be a setup problem. in your printer program there is a page for margins, page breaks. set all for zero or disable page breaks. as far as vista goes, personally I never liked it. I am running firefox and have been for the past three years. It doesn't have all the problem back doors like windows internet explorer. rarely do I ever get patches for the program - it just don't need them.AND firefox is completely compatible with 99% of all running programs.
