Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
It really depends upon at what point it trips the breaker. During washing, spinning, drying? If it is during drying don't use that cycle- it could be the dryer heating element. A supressor is normally used on the motor to supress the effect of sparking from the commutator/brushes so I doubt very much that it is that- it would probably trip immediately all the time. It could, however, be the motor itself which is malfunctioning particularly if the tripping happens around spin time. I do think you should call in an engineer, sorry ;-0(
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Hi John thank you for your reply, yes I think the envitable is upon me and I will as you say have to get an engineer to take a look. The fuse blew the first time we used the spin dryer after not using it for years. The fuse now blows intermittently at the end of the wash cycle even though we have not set the programme to continue into the dryer mode.
Thanks again
Nigel.
