I have an old Sharp carousel counter-top microwave oven in black color. The light bulb has died. The light bulb is a little over 2 inches in length and has S125v 20W written on it. The microwave seems to be about 2 cu ft with outer dimensions of 21 3/4""x16"x11.5" and inner dimensions of 15"x15"x9". The description about the microwave model etc. has faded. The only words I can make out are 120 V.A.C. 1?50 K???? and SHARP ELECTRONICS. Can anyone help identify the microwave model number and the light bulb replacement part number for S125V 20W?

Seems easy enough, but please watch your husband and keep him away from the internal capacitor. The bulb is at the front upper part of the case. You just need to slide the cover back a couple of inches.

Step 5

But does not what? If the door doesn't open, chances are the seal has gotten sticky so try to apply a little outward pull... If it is sticky and opens, wipe down with moist cloth both the seal and the mating surface.
Hello there To replace the light you will first have to remove the outer shell. To do this (1). Remove all of the screws on the back of the microwave that hold on the shell (2) Remove the screws that are on the bottom.
(3) now the shell should slide off towards the back of the microvave. Note : this may take a little bit of pressure to get it off ok?
(4) Once the cover is off look towards the fromt of the microwave and you will see the bulb. now just replace the bulb and reinsert the cover and the screws and you are all done ok? pretty easy ha/ best regards michael
If it doesn't have a door you have to remove the cover. Its likely a special microwave bulb and the socket will have to be replaced with the bulb. the bulb is built onto the socket.
Microwave_svc's site is awesome! I was able to get all the help I needed for a similar Sharp Carousel microwave. My bulb was simply loose in the socket base causing intermittent bulb lighting. Microwave_svc's helpful links got me to the service manual and, along with a nice set of "tamper-proof" screw compatible TORX bits I bought at HarborFreight, I was easily able to get cover off, remove bulb socket, tighten bulb, re-install bulb socket, button unit back up, and, voila, the light now works without intermittent blinking.
