Re: how do i get my sony psp1006 multiregion?
If you have a custom firmwared PSP there is a hack that changes the region, put battery in and hold R (custom firmwared PSP), then configuration, fake region:

To change the region code on your PSP, you need to go to NANO options, then ID Storage tools, then Change region. You will have 3 options: Europe, Japan, and America. Then you will be prompted: "Do you want to continue?" click "Yes" Good luck!
Hi.. I have not come accross any way to unlock the region restrictions yet (not saying a code or fix does not exist just not come to my attention) so you may have to buy another player and unless you are willing to have two players side by side a multiregion is your only option (two side by side could be your original left as it is and a new one with the region fixed to USA)
1. Switch on the player 2; open the CD compartment 3. Enter the following code (using the remote): 2812 4. Highlight the region 5. Change to 9 (for Multi-region) using the 'Enter' button 6. Hit 'Clear' to exit
It depends where you buy the player from. For example if you buy the player from the UK then it'll most probally be region 2 but if you bought one from america then it'll most probaly be region 1. For some players there multiregion hacks that mean the player will play any region.
Heres a link to available Tevion hacks just in case you might want a multiregion player.
Yes, US movies are region 1 and China and Southeast Asian markets are region 3. This is supposedly to keep piracy low but considering you can't even burn UMDs yet that's kind of ridiculous. Go to http://www.engadget.com/2005/11/24/neuros-pumps-up-neuros-mpeg-4-recorder-2-for-psps-and-ipods/ to find a mpeg4 converter for UMDs or else you could get a new region 1 drive and flashing your bios. There's talk in the air about Sony releasing it's movies all regions from here on out due to this problem.
