Yes, you're right. There's probably enough humidity. But, the level that you have the dehumidifier set on is to high. Please understand, the percentage on the LCD screen is what the humidifier is the humidity that it will maintain, not what it will remove. If it's set on say, 65% or higher, it's not going to remove anything. That's why it turns ON and then OFF. It needs to be set lower than 50%. Probably more like 45%, then when it turns ON, it will continue to run until the humidity level reaches 45% or the unit shuts OFF, because the bucket is full.
I had a previous questioner recently, who after reading what I just told you, said, "Now, I've got it. It works opposite of a refrigerator?" Which is a perfect analogy.
Let me know if it works for you. Thanks.
Hi,
There are many reasons why a dehumidifier will not work or collect water.
Here is a tip that I wrote to help people to figure out what is going wrong with their dehumidifier
Dehumidifier is running but no water is in bucket

Thanks for replying, but your solution did not help. The humidifier is in our basement and after alot of rain recently it's damp. The temp of the room is 63 and I have the humidifier set at 46. It comes on and then automatically cuts off and the green lo light comes on. The dehumidier will not come on and stay on no matter what you set it on. This dehumidifier is not quite 2 yrs old.
