It is likely the magnetron is defective, "heats food" the cost to repair will approach a new microwave oven.

Ihave a Jenn-Air JMV8196 microwave oven. The clock works, the fan works and the light works. Not sure why the microwave will not come on to cook. Help?

The problem is caused by one of three things, the magnetron "heats food" the high voltage diode "sometimes shorts" or the high voltage capacitor " shorts"

My spacemaker just stopped heating food. What do

This is a microwave, correct?

I suspect the door lock interface switch(es) are burned out. Unplug it, be mindful of the 25,000 volts in the silver thing. Check the micro switches (look where the door closes on the top right side, probably) two positions, normally open or normally closed. check them for proper operation.

Micro switches are the most common of microwave failures because most of us open the door while the machine is running causing arc at the switch and burning up the little contacts.

Microwave oven does not warm food up

I have not solved my problem,I have decided to buy a new microwave rather than pay for this amount of money on a telephone advice when you have said on your site that it is free.I will also spend further amount of money, to call an electrician after your advice,so I will be better of buying a new one.

Microwave heated food an hour ago but has stopped heating it now. Sensor cooking ceases and displays "F3H". Fan has stopped working also.

A make and model would have been nice, but try unplugging it from the wall outlet for 15 minutes.

Hope that helps...
