The used dvd player I just bought read no disc is there anything I can do?

Hello noralpn and welcome to FixYa. I see your having difficulty with your Polaroid Portable DVD Player. This problem commonly occurs with used products as some people will try to sell (problem devices) to other people since is no longer of value to them but let's try a couple things to see if we can get it working. First check to see if the disc you are using is clean and free of dirt and or foreign debris. If it is not you can clean the media with water or a lens cleaning solution followed by wiping it dry with a microfiber or other soft cloth. If you feel this is not the issue the next course of action would be to clean the laser lens inside your portable DVD player. This can be done by adding a very small amount of water or better yet a lens cleaning solution to your cloth and gently wiping the laser lens inside your device. Please make sure the lens is dry before attempting to operate the DVD player again. If this does not solve your issue I would have to tell you to contact Polaroid for further service in which I have provided the number below.
