Question about Washing Machines

2 Answers

I've got a Hotpoint WF541. It sounds like it's taking in water (certainly going into the drawer) but does nothing else except these flashing lights: on/off, mini load and rinse hold. The manual says if mini load, rinse hold & pre-wash are flashing it's a filter/pump blockage but I'm not getting a flashing 'pre-wash' light just the others. Tried cleaning the filter anyway (lot of water came out but no debris). Hotpoint wont tell me what the series of lights means (apparently they're error codes) and just want to sell me an extended warranty!

My wf541 leaks from the soap dispenser drawer when water is being put into the machine

Reduce the water pressure, I assume its too high , also make sure no partial blockage at dispenser hose ..try pouring in a jug of water and see if it goes away Freely...Good luck

Aquarius hotpoint wf541 wont pump the water out at the end of the cycle

You need to clean the filter.
Remove lower rear cover of washer.
Locate and remove large black hose fastened to bottom of drum.
Remove and clean the filter inside hose.
Remove hose onto pump, and check for blockage or obstruction here as well
Hope this helps with your problem

Machine do not take detergent from the dispenser at all

that sounds to me like a water pressure problem. check the hoses aren't kinked and that water comes out at a reasonable rate.
the small filters where they attach to the machine may be limescaled up and want cleaning.

Soap powder remains in the soap compartment

Depending on which compartment the powder is remaining in, it could be low water pressure causing the problem.
If it is taking some down, but not all the powder, then try putting the powder towards the front of the compartment.
If all else fails then I suggest you get one of these dispenser balls that you put straight in the drum with the washing.
Plz rate this solution.
