Be sure to have real fresh alkaline AA of fresh recharged NiMh batteries.

Good rechargeable batteries are Sanyo ENELOOP NiMh batteries, which have a very, very low own discharge. Some other brands have them too.

My Fujifilm Finepix S8000FD was unused for a long time and had its batteries leaked, I cleaned it and it says batteries are empty?

It takes 4 x AA batteries. Are the battery contacts on the compartment door, and the battery contacts in the base of the compartment clean and shiny. Usually when batteries leak, they cause oxidization on the metal.

The camera does have very specific requirements.

Batteries are required to operate the digital camera. At
first, load the batteries in the camera.
Compatible batteries
AA-size alkaline batteries (4) or AA-size Ni-MH
rechargeable batteries (4) (sold separately)
CAUTION
• Never use the following types of
batteries, as they could cause
serious problems such as battery
fluid leakage or overheating:
1. Batteries with split or peeling
outer casings
2. Combinations of different
types of batteries or new and used batteries together
• Do not use manganese, Ni-Cd or lithium batteries.
• Use the same brand and grade AA-size alkaline
batteries as those supplied with the camera.

https://www.manualslib.com/manual/54755/Fujifilm-Finepix-S8000fd.html?page=16#manual

And on the next page it shows the polarity two up, and two down. If those weren't correct, you would be on reduced power.

When I put completely new batteries in, it keeps saying "battery empty" in the window? Have tried several new batteries and is refusing all of them?

You could try using 2 x AA NiMH rechargeable battery or2 x AA NiCd rechargeable batteries if you just using ordinary AA batteries at the moment......

Nikon coolpix L 120 battery exhausted

Sometimes the battery can show up as full with a VOLTAGE but the CURRENT(Read Milli-AMPS) can be low in the cell.
Normally when the load is applied it can shut down as there is no juice within to help with the requirement.
It is best to replace or try a swap with battery to confirm this case without tampering any section.

I cant charge the battery through computer

The C183 isn't a battery charger. If you use rechargeable AA batteries in it, you must charge the batteries outside the camera using a separate battery charger.

When i was using the rechargeable batteries my camera worked fine but i lost them so i reverted to use duracell aa batteries and now my camera only turns on for me to see all the pictures stored on it.. i...

Greetings - You're absolutely right - Your camera should work with any rechargeable or alkaline AA batteries.

Have you tried using a second set of batteries besides the first and are they new batteries or batteries that have been lying around in a drawer?

If they're new you might want to try an old trick that might help and get a regular pencil with an eraser and use the eraser to clean the contacts on both ends of the battery compartment. When you're done make sure you blow out any bits of eraser that might have crumbled off.

If the batteries are new and the contacts are clean your camera has some kind of problem and I suggest you visit Fuji Films tech support website HERE.

Good Luck,

Pentax AX-7 does not take picture

If you just put in standard AA batteries, they do not have enough power to drive the camera. Use high power ones, or better still 2300 mAh or 2500 mAh rechargeable batteries

Kodak dc265 zoom digital camera

Hi: What's happening to your camera is not normal but, I think the real probelm it's in the batteries. You're using 4 AA NiMh bateries all charged? How many mAh do the batteries have? I think that your batteries may be vitiated and that's what's causing the mal function. I sugest that you buy new 4 AA NiMh with 2500 mAh and try with those... or ask a friend to loan you :D Regards
