What is wrong with my ipod ao 5th generation

Flip the iPod Nano's "Hold" switch to "OFF."

The iPod Nano cannot be turn on if the switch is set to "ON."

Reset the iPod Nano. Move the "Hold" switch to "ON" and then "OFF."

Then, press down the "Select" and "Menu" buttons on the Nano. Hold those buttons for about eight seconds.

The Apple logo will then become visible on the iPod Nano. Once this occurs, try turning the iPod Nano on once again.

Connect the iPod Nano to an iPod charger or a computer that is turned on via the iPod Nano's USB cord. Charge the Nano for at least 30 minutes.

Then, try to turn the Nano on.

Update the iPod Nano's software.

Connect the Nano to your computer via the player's USB cable. Open iTunes, and click the iPod Nano's name on the left part of iTunes.

Click the "Summary" option at the top of iTunes. Then, click on the "Check for Updates" button that's positioned in the middle of iTunes.

Follow the instructions that appear inside iTunes in order to install the updates on the Nano.

hope this helps

No sound from my Pure-Fi Express plus into my 4th gen Nan Ipod

Hi, while your pure express plus you just purchased is not playing out any sound is because, the speaker that enable you to play the sound when you play music through the ipod is faulty and it needs to be replaced with another one for it to function properly again.

After changing the speaker that is faulty with a new speaker, you can now start enjoying the music again through the internal speaker.

Take care.

Just purchased an ipod nano...how do I turn off the external speaker? even when I plug in the headphones, the external speaker stays on

Flick the button/switch on the top of the nano on and off 6 times leaving the orange bit not showing.

Now hold down the menu button and the middle button for 15 seconds until an apple2_bing.gif icon appears. SORTED!

now the speaker turns off when you plug the headphones in plus rest assured it doesn't reset the ipod and remove your songs.

Nano 8gb does not charge battery(3th generation)

the ipod of the 4th generation does only charge in USB mode and the Harman & kardon speaker only supports I link charge mode(fire wire 1394) so i bought an awsome sounding machine wich does not charge my ipod nano.
however i must say that i have a solution, when you put the USB cable in the back of the H&K, you can charge the nano with a charging device of an ipod.

New Ipod Nano 4th Gen 16GB has went blank and will not turn on

HI there,

worst case scenario is that a circuit has broken inside. But your ipod will be under warrenty for a year from purchase.

Otherwise, leave the ipod to charge for a long time. Just leave it connected directly to the computer USB port despite not having any change in appearance. Also, don't connect it via a usb hub or through your keyboard. You will need to plug it into your computer directly.

You can also try entering DFU mode. Here is a great step by step guide to do that. http://iphonefreakz.com/beginners-guide/howto-dfu-mode/

Then restore the ipod and update the firmware. Make sure you have the latest version of itunes installed. By checking through software update.

I hope this helps,

Nathan.

Ipod nano

The dock connectors on most of the speaker systems available are cheap and break easily. I have experienced the same problems. if the ipod doesn't sit just right then it doesn't connect. why they seem to charge but not send music signals i'm not sure. highly unlikely that it's your ipod. either buy a good speaker dock (klipsch, bose, sonic impact... check amazon or e-bay for good deals) or use the headphone jack to connect to the speaker dock you have, and use the wall charger to supply power/charge your ipod.
