Acer Aspire 5610-2738 laptop computer

The mousepad on my laptop keeps going on strike for a few months at a time. I bought a usb mouse, but it's inconvenient to keep losing the mouse on the computer. Actually, I bought a wireless usb mouse, but it punks out when the mousepad does. The wired one is the only one that works when the mousepad decides not to work for awhile. Any suggestions?

The mouse pad is too sensitive, it is unreliable. Second problem. The cursor jumps all over the place right in the middle of a sentenance. It takes double time to send one message, including this one. I have to stop typing, find the cusor, return it to the proper place and continue. For example, this message took 3 minutes to complete.

Look for a new mousepad on ebay and install it, it's prolly worn out OR, the connector to the mouse pad is barely making contact inside the case.

Acer 4720z mousepad not working

You may have a function key that can enable/disable it or a setting in the control panel > mouse > pointing devices. Or possibly a BIOS setting to enable/disable.

Acer aspire mousepad is difficult to use

Okay, with laptops that tends to usually be the case. I would just go out and purchase a USB mouse and use that instead of the built in mouse, as there is no real way to improve its function.
