What operative system you use? With Windows XP or above those system drivers are already patching your CD/DVD drive so its not surely about drivers. It could be about connection, I higly suggest you visit Laptop service, or if your laptop is still under warranty, use it to claim fix. This is common problem with drives so You dont need to be worried. :)

You probably need a new CD or DVD drive. Search eBay for your model # and DVD drive. They are fairly cheap and easy to replace. Almost any drive will work from other laptops, you may just have to transfer the bracket and connector from your old one (you just need a small screwdriver). Good luck!
