Hi my computer is no longer downloading photos from the hard disk where the photos are stored when I select "browse" to select the photo the screen just freezes and the picture doesn't download - this has just started happening a few months ago

Click start control panel scroll to folder options view place a tick in show hidden files folders and drives
this may vary depending on your operating system



An example on how to safe documents , photo's or data to a usb drive
click start all programs accessories open windows explorer navigate to your photos


right click on the documents , photo's select copy navigate back to the usb drive right click select paste or select the top photo hold the mouse cursor then select the bottom photo then drag the photo's to your usb drive then drop them


or if you are downloading data or programs from the internet
once it starts downloading windows will ask whether you want to run or save it


a browse option will open you can save it into a folder in my documents or another device or a usb device

click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll down universal serial bus controllers you could see a yellow question / exclamation mark? ! or a red X

you will need to update/reinstall drivers

right click to reinstall drivers

if you can see your usb drive but its not working

ports(com&lpt)right click update driver if this fails to fix the problem

check the USB leads that attach to the motherboard usually red white green black make sure they are securely seated and have no dust build up on them dust will cause static and a lot of unforeseen problems for a computer and its parts

click start control panel administrive tools computer management disk management right click on your drive select properties click tools you should see click check now click start two boxes automatically fix files and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors place then a tick in both boxes then select check now start or you might tick one box then return after its finished the first repair then return and tick the second box you should not do anything while the chkdsk utility is in progress any input may damage this drive

click on your profile link then go to your photos then select create a photo album then its will ask you to install java runtime plug in install java then restart your browser after restart your browser again go to your photos section on facebook then select upload photos to your album then select browse this will open your local hard disk select pictures from your there and press upload this will upload your pictures from there you done upload your pictures then
