I live in Ontario, 50 miles East of Port Huron Michigan. When I save a Michigan address, the system acknowledges the correct mileage to the destination, but plots a thousand mile trip using Erie Pennsylvania, and Cincinnati as route points.
I reentered the destination after each exit on the trip. It was only when I was on the bridge crossing from Canada to the US, that the system acknowledged the direct route, instead of the circuitous one.
I used the reset button on the back of the Garmin 650 several times, but no difference
Thanks for the clues. The answer ended up being my removal of 'Toll Roads' under Avoidances. It then calculated the sensible route. It seems that faster time/shorter route are relative, but avoidances seem to be very extreme, in that it plots a 13 hour, 1000 mile trip to avoid a toll road (in this case a bridge) which would be a 15 minute, 5 mile trip.

You will need to enter an address in Toronto for it to be able to route. Try "1 Yonge Street, Toronto, Ontario". That will take you to downtown Toronto.
I cant make the call. Think of it this way, do you like the truck, and what shape is it in. I see your in michigan, salt can be a killer on the truck. But if its in good shape and you like it go for it. Shops or wrecking yards in your area I just don't know.
