I presume this happens when you are copying and not just printing from the PC. If so then you probably have tippex on the scanner glass. open the scanner cover and you will see two glasses. the left one is for the adf and the larger one on the right is for the flatbed. I bet you have tippex or something white laying on one of the glasses. To prove this all you need to do is make a copy from the adf and make a copy from the flatbed. The adf one will probably have the white line and the flatbed will not.
When lines appear on copies of documents fed through the ADF, it typically means that there is some kind of dirt or foreign material on the glass that the document passes over. A different window is used when scanning from the ADF as opposed to the flatbed. The flatbed window is large, often much larger than a standard sheet of paper. The ADF window, on the other hand, is small and slender. It doesn't need to be large because the document moves over it (as opposed to the flatbed, where the document is stationary while the scanner moves under it).
The ADF window is usually situated next to the flatbed glass on the side of the scanner where the ADF takes in the paper. Open the scanner lid (as though you were going to make a copy on the flatbed) and find the slender piece of glass just under where the ADF would be when the lid is closed. Once you've located the ADF glass, use a mild glass cleaner and a lint-free cloth to gently clean the surface of the glass. If you are able to see the foreign material, you can remove it by hand, but be sure to clean the glass thoroughly afterwards, as fingerprints can also cause poor quality copies.
After the glass has been cleaned, test the ADF copy function and make sure the line has disappeared. If it has not, you may need to remove the slender glass and clean the underside (though this is almost never required, as the underside is protected from environmental debris).

On what operation are you receiving the black line in your paper?
This problem usually appears when you try to scan or copy using your ADF (automatic document feeder). To remove this black line in your paper, clean the ADF platen glass in your printer and do as well in the flatbed scanner glass. This ADF platen glass can be found right below where the documents in the ADF goes through. Its a glass about 1 inch in with and beside the flatbed scanner glass (the one where your documents is lay down for copying and scanning. Dried ink or paper residue sticked in the glass can cause this line in the paper. Clean it with a a clothe and spray some windex on it.
Disconnect the power supply from the back of the scanner base. Disconnect the USB Interface cable and the ADF Accessory cable from the back of the scanner. Press
and hold the E-mail and Copy buttons at the same time. While pressing
the E-mail and Copy buttons, reconnect the power supply to
the scanner. Reconnect the power supply and turn on the scanner. Press the Scan Doc button. the carriage will start moving back and forth in the full scan bed length. To exit test, disconnect the power supply.
lift up your adf and locate the thin piece of glass, about an 1' wide, and clean real good with rag and windex. probably white out or some foreign material on that glass.
If you lift up the lid on your scanning device you will notice a glass strip about 1 inch thick and then the large area of glass used for flatbed scanning. The 1 inch strip is used for ADF scanning. Because your papper is moving across the glass strip, any dot, smudge or scratch will affect your scanning and cause verticial lines down the page. Sometimes the dot is not visible to the eye. Get some glass cleaner that has alcohol in it and thoroughly clean the glass strip and it should solve your problem. If it turns out to be a scratch on the glass then cleaning won't help.
