Trying to set up email on LG KP500 but receiving `socket closed by network ` error message. Phone is pay as you go, originally locked with T-Mobile and after unlocking is now being used with a Tesco sim.

this is because, you mms settings is not configured.

Call the customer care of your network provider and ask them to send the mms configuration settings to your phone.

Once this is done, you will be able to receive and send pic messages with your phone.

This may work:

Go to messages bit, settings, multimedia message, scroll down to multi msg centre,

Now if you're on montly contract, select pay monthyl, etc
try sending the message again, sometimes it may not send it properly, u may have to send the message one or twice, it'l only charge u once though,

reset ur phone

You can't lock your messages, sorry!

DOuble check your message centre number it should be - +447782000800 for pay monthly & pay as you go.

To check press Menu > Messaging > Settings > Text Message > Text Message Centre No >
