Being Canadian I can assure you that the @ symbol is produced by holding down the shift key and pressing the number 2. This keyboard may have a different setup, or you may need to change your language settings on your computer from Start>Control Panel.
Alternatively, you can open a virtual keyboard from Start>Programs>accessories>accessibilty>virtual keyboard

It could be that a key is stuck on your keyboard. Try pressing all of the Shift, CTRL, and ALT keys a couple times. Try again. Also, try rebooting if that doesn't help.

Sounds like your keyboard in in UK mode, but is labeled for US. Or the other way.
In a UK keyboard, Shift+' (the key which is two spaces to the right of "L") should give you an @ sign.
Depending on your Operating System, you can use the CONTROL PANEL and REGIONAL SETTINGS to set the keyboard to be a USA keyboard, and then Shift+2 will give you an @ sign.

Cant print the symbol @ on my note book

Press SHIFT-2
if that isn't working , press and hold the ALT key, and type 64 on the numeric keypad then release the alt key.
If method 2 works, and method one doesn't, check your keyboard layout, and switch it back to US when you get the chance.
Also, see if the number 2 in the top row works at all...if not, the keyboard might be defective.

if you are in the USA the keyboard layout should be ok.
to check it go to
-start

if the layout is for UK then the "@" symbol will be where the " is.
That is shift+apostrophe
