Pink and green diagonal lines rollng across the screen??? panasonic 42" Plasma . Only purchased about 3 years ago - but been used very rarely.

This symptom could be caused by either the Y buffer board or the main logic board.

It sounds like your Plasma was dropped on the right side and some of the internal wires came lose from the circlet board. 1. Is Panasonic or Vendor willing to replace it; if not, I say go ahead and open it up and see if you can find the damaged circlet. 2. Easy way trash it and purchase a new one just not from the same vendor.

Try moving any speakers away from the TV somtimes the magnet will cause this problem.

Search Google "Screen Burn-In."
Mainly Plasma screens are affected by it.

Please describe the 'waves' and what you are watching when it happens, is it on everything? e.g. normal TV and when watching a DVD? Are the Waves a grey close pattern going diagonally across the screen for some other sort of pattern?

My 42" Samsung Plasma HDTV HP-R4252 has a 2" vertical strip of green pixels down the right side of the screen.

My 3 year warranty with Circuit City expires in Nov 2008.. so I hope I'm covered.. can't call until the morning.

Samsung said it might be a logic board problem.. but they want almost $2000 to fix. I might as well buy another TV if Circuit City can't fix it.
