Question about Sanyo PLV-Z4 Multimedia Projectors

1 Answer

Sanyo Pro XtraX Remote Code

I somehow changed a setting from the projector, so the remote does not function. I did this through onscreen setting while the projector was on, the setting I know changed to 2 by mistake.

Fixes?

The remote does not function with it at all now.

Thanks

You may have reassigned the projector/remote control codes. If you still have your User's Manual, reference page 38 and there are instructions on how to reset the codes.

If you don't have the User Manual, it can be downloaded at http://sanyoservice.com/pdf/images/PLVZ4(OM5110749-00).pdf

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Good Luck!

I know this is an old post but I just had the same issue and the link above is no longer valid.

On the remote control, try pressing both the MENU and IMAGE buttons together for at least 10 seconds.

Taken from the Pro Xtra PLC-XU74 manual, page 47, link here: http://uk.sanyo.com/AssetBrowser/Technic... Database/Instruction Manuals/Projectors/PLC-XU74.pdf

    Worked for me!

I have the same issue as mark buckley, except i have turned my projector off at the wall. The plc-ex32 doesn't feature an on/off button or any other button for that matter! you need a remote! if the remote gets set to a different remote code and you cannot turn it back on how do you get the remote to work again???

Projector only in stanby mode does not switch on

This projector provides two different remote control codes; the factory-set, initial code (Code 1) and the secondary code (Code 2). This switching function prevents remote control interference when several projectors or video equipment are operated at the same time.
When the projector is operated in "Code 2," both the projector and the remote control must be switched to "Code 2." To change the code for the projector:
Select either "Code 1" or "Code 2" in this Setting Menu.
To change the code for the remote control:
Press and hold both the MENU and IMAGE buttons together for more than 5 seconds. After changing the code, make sure the remote control operates properly.
Remote control
Press and hold MENU and IMAGE buttons for more than 5 seconds.
You can change the brightness of the screen.
High ...... Brighter than the Normal mode
Auto ...... Brightness according with the input signal
Normal ... Normal brightness
On start
Note:
•When different codes are set on the projector and on the remote control, any operation cannot be made. In that case, switch the code on the remote control to fit the code on the projector.
•If the batteries are removed from the remote control for a long period of time, the remote control code will be reset.

I guess you used factory reset, then picture flips back to table/ front mode.
In setting menu choose for ceiling ( R upside down icon) and set this to ON.

Hitachi cp-s240 remote question

Hitachi data projectors are able to function as a mouse using either the USB port or the control port located on the back of the projector.

However, they are not intended to be used as a remote presenter. This means that although you can use the remote as a mouse, you will not be able to change slides in a full screen slide show using powerpoint.

I recommend the Targus remote presenter for this purpose. This device will function as a mouse, pointing device, and will allow you to change slides in powerpoint. In addition, it's inexpensive, wireless, and small enough to easily fit in your pocket.

Would not turen back on

It sounds like you changed the remote code, which shuts the remote control off. Can you get into the menu using the controls on the projector itself? If you can, find the remote function and turn it back to the the original code. The factory set code is "code 1", this should get the remote back to normal use.

Good Luck

Onscreen language change

All remote can perform this function through the on screen menu. You have to go to the setting function and find language and change it from spanish to english. You can find out more about this by going to the television's manufacturer's website and looking up a pdf copy of the owners manual. You will need a pdf reader and writer to read the manual and a writer to make a copy for your own use. In the manual all the settings will be explained and you will be able to change the language setting. I ope this information gives you some idea's on how you can solve your problem with the language on your television. Thank you for using FixYa and have a nice day!
