Hi I have the revision "F" for the Westell 6100 (verizon dsl and verizon router interface). Whenever I try to enable DMZ, the router reboots says its enabled, then after the page reloads its says "DMZ disabled. Also on the same page it says "WAN IP not connected". This makes no sense since on the main page my WAN IP is listed. Here is a picture. http://img166.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dmzhostfe8.png
My router is in a "bridge router" mode, private lan enabled, public lan disabled. DHCP server off.

there might be a problem with the Linksys router, the Westell 6100 should be 1st set to bridge mode in order for your router to be connected to it. or there could also be a proble on the Verizon server.
Your dsl line stays the same. you're only changing your dsl equipment.
if you are not able to go online using the 327w, you might need to have it configured depending on the type of connection that you have. if you are using PPPoE (which means you enter a username and password on the modem to connect to verizon) you need your 327w configured for pppoe. but if you are using DHCP connection, any modem or routers should be plug and play.
Most verizon customers from the west coast uses DHCP while those on the east coast uses PPPoE.
You can call tech support to make sure which type of connection you are using.
i worked for verizon for two years and I encounter this problem many times,to tell you honestly, its not with you internet connection since if you'll notice, while you are connected to the internet and you make a call or call someone, its interrupted... Obviously, its the phone itslelf, the signal comng from the phone is different from the signal of the internet...thats the reason why you need a modem to convert the signal coming from the phone line to make it work for internet,,,what I suggest is you change the DSL plan from the Dry Loop to the regular dsl with the phone...
Rob just studied ur problem.Iam a tech which handles this kind of issue.
I talk to verizon,at&t,bellsouth, qwest daily for such issues.
Well i can suggest u onething u can get the efficient speedstream 4100 series modem which comes with a 1 yr warranty.
And also checkout with verizon clearly abt ur distance from the central office.Bcos might be ur dsl circuit may be not technically feasible
