Tv wont come on it you hear a clicking but no tv or noise

That usually indicates that your power supply has gone bad. The clicking sound you hear is your power supply not getting enough current to turn on your screen. Could be a simple fix as a bad capacitor but not sure? If you can pin point that problem being your power supply, it is some times cheaper to just replace the power supply board but it depends how old your TV is and if the power supply unit is available.

sounds like a faulty starter possibly the selinoide on the starter

Not likely as you are hearing the main power relay click and it is after the fuse.

First place to look will be the power supply board inside the set--look for puffed up caps and or check voltages etc.


caps should have perfectly flat silver tops with no puffing up on top and no brown material leaking top or bottom.

TV needs lamp replacement as existing lamp got weak or has been reached to end of its working life, please note that lamp is not dead or broken so that is why lamp lit is not lit at tv front.

If you hear a clicking noise that sounds like the ballast trying to power on the lamp, but nothing happens, the lamp may be faulty.

Listen for a click from under the steering column when you turn the key on. If you hear no electrical click then your ignition switch could be bad. If you hear an electrical click the you starter soleniod is bad.

+5VDC is leaking! open back cover,check power supply board.
