I work at a printing center at my college, sometimes this happens to the students that print. When printing it could be the word document itself: the file could be too big, or the printer could be reading the file wrong. Try saving the word document to a PDF (Print, Print as PDF), then try printing it. That way the printer reads it as a sort of image and not a .doc file, or .wrd file.

Hp j4680 says "paper jam"

Try this. Sometimes you get that message because a previous jam was never fully fixed.

Paper jam in my new Lexmark x2600 inkjet printer

Hi there,

Here's how to clear printer paper jam.

  1. Pull the paper out if it is visible. If not, then open the top of the printer so that the jammed piece of paper is visible.
  2. Grasp the paper and pull gently but firmly. If the paper continues to jam in the printer, inspect the rollers to ensure that they are grabbing the paper and pulling it along the paper path properly.
  3. Check the paper path for any obstructions, and clear if found. Also, inspect the other parts that the paper travels through, to ensure that they are not dirty or gummy. If any dirt or other debris is found, clean the parts and try again.
  4. Close the top of the printer.
  5. Place the printer back online. Try the print job again.
Just let me know for further assistant.

Envolpe feed problem

I would first off try cleaning the feed roll in that tray well. That really sounds like slipping.
Go through all your programs and make sure that the driver machine and program you are running has the envelope settings the same.
Be sure they all match. Example. Make sure all the programs you are running through, have the settings for # 10 envelope, consistancy is needed for running envelopes. They are problematic.

Paper jam

I have had this problem, and have became very furiated.

Clear the Jam by removing and paper you see in from the rear access door.
If you are printing something from a PDF website....... make sure to have it still in the printer schedule.... It will still say printer jam..... but have it there regardless if its something you dont want to have to retype into the pdf form........ After that simply restart your computer. It should resume printer as soon as your computer boots up.....

Worked for me..... Hope this helps everyone else whos probably cursing your printer at the moment!!!!
