Load defoult configuration now

What default do we want? is it the image of the computer or the BIOS settings?
If you want to restore the computer's OS back to factory, press Alt + F10 on the Acer logo. Alternatively, you can use the recovery CD that you should have created when you got your laptop.
If you want to restore the BIOS to default:
  • 1. Turn the Acer Aspire laptop on. Restart it if it is already turned on.

    2. Press the "Del" key as soon as the computer turns on. The BIOS setup utility will load.

    3. Press F5 to reset the BIOS to defaults.

Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS you can load failsafe defaults or load optimized defaults ,press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart
During the boot process tap the f8 button three times this will boot into safe mode where the only things
working will be your mouse and keyboard enabling you to attempt to repair your computer

This recovery process helps you restore the C: drive with the original software content that is installed when you purchase your notebook. Follow the steps below to rebuild your C: drive. (Your C: drive will be reformatted and all data will be erased.) It is important to back up all data files before using this option.
Before performing a restore operation, please check the BIOS settings.
    1. Check to see if Acer disk-to-disk recovery is enabled or not.
    2. Make sure the D2D Recovery setting in Main is Enabled.
    3. Exit the BIOS utility and save changes. The system will reboot.
Note: To activate the BIOS utility, press during POST (Power On Self Test).
    To start the recovery process:
    1. Restart the system.
    2. While the Acer logo is showing, press + at the same time to enter recovery process.
    3. Refer to the onscreen instructions to perform system recovery.
Important! This feature occupies 6 GB in a hidden partition on your hard disk.

How to restore my acer aspire 5315 back to factory settings i have tried every thing i can think i press f8 on startup then boot logging but nothing happens HELP?

Just after pressing Power button try to press and hold FN+F10 if this does not work try FN+F11, you can also keep holding a FN and simultanuously pressing F10 or F11. This should take you to the system recovery screen then follow procedures from the screen. Another way is to activate hidden system restore partition on the hard drive if there is any, the simply reboot your computer.
