Maytag M7DH45B2A Dehumidifier Logo
Anonymous Posted on May 04, 2011

I need to replace the part of my Maytag dehumidifier (Model # M7DH45B2A AR) that triggers the motor to work - it sits across the back or middle of the right hand bucket and has a sort of paddle on it I think - it is made of plastic and cracked off. It hangs on each side of the bucket and the unit will not operate if this piece is not in place. With a piece of it cracked off it (bc someone forced the drawer to shut) it cannot start to run Don't know how else to describe it - I don't have part number. Please don't tell me to get another dehumidifier. Thanks for your help.

Here's a link to where you can find the "doohickey" your looking for. It's really called an activation switch. There's also an exploded view of the parts for your model. Also, if you can't find it for Maytag, try Fedders. They make the same unit and actually made the one you have with the Maytag brand name on it. The model numbers will be almost identical. Juts drop the 'M' off the front.

Hope this helps with the part and the repair.

I have this same dehumidifier. It is several years old and not working anymore. Would you be interested in the bucket that belongs to mine? Otherwise, it is going in the trash! I would be happy to mail it to you. It would be great if someone could use it, instead of it taking up space in the landfill!

What is date of manufacture for Maytag dehumidifier serial AR765818 024W model M7DH45B24-A

Well my unit is a 45Pint Model M7DH45B2A - REC-CY, I searched high and low for a date but couldn't find one. It had on it, the stats, On the High side it runs 400 PSI, Low side 150 PSI.
Mine does have an Energy Star Sticker. It was purchased 2005 or 06. We've only had to replace relay switch once and that was last year.

I have purchaced two maytag dehumidifiers M7DH45B2A either one works. I cleaned inside and out blew out the coils with air. Motor runs but will not take out the humidity.

You may have the humidity level set to high. Keep in mind, the higher the number on your LED screen, (if your units have LED display) the more humidity remains in the house. Lowering the numbers on the screen (to 45%), should have a better affect.

Hope this helps you. Please let me know.

Location of Maytag M7DH45B2A motor fuse

I'm fixing one of these too. Take the top off (follow the AC cord) and the fuse is on the PCB.

I am also looking for a better wiring diagram - the control panel on mine does not light up.

The fan fell apart on my M7DH45B2A and I was wondering how to find a part number for the fan to order a new one.

ApplianceFactoryparts.com has the replacement part for the "squirrel cage" for the motor or "fan". Use the Model number to find the parts.
