Pinters and scanners and copiers (OH MY!)
How do I fix the error on my printer scanner copier fax that says "yada yada yada you cant print anymore"?
99% of the time, you cant. You arent supposed to. If you are a corporation that uses laser printers and you have a contract with a company, such as epson or hp or xerox or brother or whoever makes office copiers, then you can get them serviced. But if you are joe schmoe or a mom and pop shop, then you are just out of luck. Most times a printer issue is caused by a physical fault: something broke, something stuck, something is dirty, etc. If you have followed the procedures listed by the mfr for cleaning and maintaining the device, but it still fails, then it is likely not able to be repaired without great cost, and after paying that cost, you could have likely got a new printer.
For example, the Dell A960 printer scanner copier fax all in one device is about $30 bucks online. It does everything most people need. If it ever broke, youd spend 30 bucks an hour for the tech, plus the cost of parts, and would likely run into another issue a few months later.
Bottom line: unless you are a corporation, then dont try to fix the printer. once it dies, replace it. To make your life easier, replace it with the same model. For example, if your A960 dies, toss it out, buy another A960, hook it up, and have the new cables as spares. If that model tends to fail every few months, then get a different brand/model.
wow that sucks... thats kinda what I was figuring out after many searches... thats why I came here... thanks for the heads up
