New computer doesn't recognize Olympus FE210 camera. Cannot tranfer pics from camera to computer.
Old computer does recognize the camera. Able to transfer there.
I'm thinking this is because the new computer is running a newer version of Windows than the camera recognizes?

It could be that the cable is faulty, because even if you do not have the drivers installed, it should recognize as a new HW device and ask for installation drivers. (But, each camera has two modes. one to take pics in and the other to view pics in.) Alternatively, you must have the camera in the second mode.
Make sure the battery connectors inside the camera are clean, not rusty or full of dust. Try another new set of batteries. Make sure you're pressing your "ON' switch hard enough, perhaps that's the problem.
If it still doesn't work, I'm afraid it's a hardware problem, and you're going to have to send it in to get it serviced.
You may want to call Olympus Customer Service to discuss the repair process for the camera. Sounds as if it is a problem with the image processing chip inside of the camera. Their telephone number is 800-622-6372 option 2 and then option 3
Make sure the camera is on and STORAGE is selected on the camera screen when connected to the computer. You will need to have STORAGE highlighted and select OK on the camera as this starts the camera and computer to communicate. Once communication established the LCD screen of the camera goes dark and the computer should generate a removable disk drive. Check the System Tray (lower right corner beside the PC time) for Safely Remove Hardware. When you click on it, it should read "Safely Remove USB Mass Storage Device Drive ?:" If you dont see that, then check the Device Manager to see if the camera is recognized as USB Mass Storage Device. The camera uses the driver usbstor.
The larger the image, the more space it consumes, your new camera is producing files that are twice as large as the old one did. Buy a larger memory card, they are quite inexpensive these days.
