You can download the guide from the Dell site... but don't waste your time. The printhead has a burned-up jet, and Dell charges as much for a printhead as for a whole new printer; just called them with the same problem. Cleaning it will most likely NOT help. The printheads are available on Amazon for around $55US. The printer is an awful ink-hog, and has terrible reviews on Amazon. Basically: open the top (below the scanner lid) and the printhead will center itself in the access hole. Pop the two ink cartridges out. There is a tab on the frame that carries the ink cartridges, towards the front of the printer; pull this (or push?) a little and lift the arm up (pivots at the rear.) The printhead will lift out (do so from the rear, where the ink latches are... it comes out easier this way.) Invert the printhead... you'll probably see four shiny gold "ribbons," one of which will be blackened. You can try wiping a lint-free cloth across this (coffee filters work well), but don't be surprised if this fails to help. I'm already shopping for it's replacement; last Dell product I'll ever own. They are an awful company to deal with.
