Cam broken When i try to use the a1200 cam, its only show a blank screen.

well i think you should download latest cam driver it will solve your problem.it happens because your cam driver does not working properly with your system

a flex is damage and need to be replaced or the top board itself.I had the seame problem... i cant use the cam as well as the video cam and found out that it was the flex.

If you can not see the image and it is always black. Look at your cam the lens of your cam is close you need to open it. After that try to view your cam.

is the green light on next to the camera??
try a diffrent program such as yahoo msg or msn msger and see if it displays with that try going to acer's website and downloading the latest version of the program and driver

you will need to replaced the camera

There is a driver update for this. I ran across it at a forum. Google Acer web cam problem and read the forums. You'll find it in one of these.

there is camera settings and preferences, u check there may be the problem is in the settings like brightness, contrast etc try it

you told that you are getting previously recorded one that means the screen is safe.and there will a button to change the screen for recording to thr right side of the cam or at the back of the cam try it and see.if still your are not getting it then recording part is damaged.
