The computer requires newer codes or an updated player. Use VLC Player (free). It is very versatile and self updates.

There are so many audo formats like Dolby Digital Decoding, Dolby Digital EX Decoding, Dolby Pro Logic Decoding, Dolby Pro Logic II, Dolby Pro Logic IIX Decoding, dts 96/24 Decoding, dts Decoding, dts NEO:6 Decoding and dts ES Decoding Stereo etc. What ever the AVR get a digital input It will decode the format and convert the same While it in the Auto format mode. If auto format is not selected it will convert the same in to stereo.

It is called buffering. The video's tend to play and stops at some point and then continue playing because it is still loading the video. Just wait for the video to load completely before playing. You will notice this thru the red indication bar align with the play button. If the loading does not finish, try reloading the webpage by pressing F5.

The message you get means that there isn't any DVD software loaded on your laptop. You should have gotten something with the LG drive, that will work for you. Media player isn't enough, and often you can load the software, and still used media player, but the software decoder is the key to the whole process.

Error 60 is connection to the CD player interrupted.

There is no supply voltage present for the decoder board or the CD player.

Check that all of the cables to the decoder board are in good condition and connected correctly and securely.

You may need an MPEG2 decoder as well as a DVD player program.  You're better off buying one because you can get everything you need and it will be reliable that way.
corel.com carries them.  There priced very reasonable. 
If your computer has a non oem card from ATI or NVidia you can get the decoders and players from their websites as well.

Are you trying to play HD-DVD with out the XBOX HD Player?

Note Many video adapters help decode DVD discs. However, the video adapter may not fully decode a DVD movie. b. Try to read the disc again. c. If you still experience problems with the disc, make sure that the sound card in the computer is compatible with the DVD drive.

Have a look on microsoft website and see updated codecs that might help otherwise download a different dvd software package like nero showtime.

Can you run any DVD on your laptop?  If not, my first thought is that you don't have DVD software loaded.  If your laptop indeed has a DVD drive you should have received software with it to play DVDs, such as PowerDVD or WinDVD.
