Most Motherboards are made to only accept certain plugs in that specific spot! If you are trying to add something new like a new Fan or LED, or HHD and you need power you would have to use a 4 prong plug off the power supply, If your power supply does not have any more available plugs, Amazon.com or Newegg.com sells splitters!

I need the wiring diagram for emachine model D6405

Usually it is in very small print right on the motherboard next to the pins, use a flashlight and/or a magnifier to see what order the pins go in. The hard drive light will say HDD, power will say PWR, etc.

Looking for the front panel wiring diagram for a emachine T4510. The Power LED & the Power SW are disconnected! HDD LED was never unplugged! I need to know where they need to be!

If you look closely at the board there should be labels printed. The power switch plug can plug in either direction, but the LED must be the correct direction for it to work. No damage can be done by plugging the LED in backwards.

Need to re-attach power button cable, hard drive

The manual for your computer is available from emachines, p.168 shows the info you need (replacing the front I/O panel)

The good news is that you can't harm the computer by connecting the wires wrong and the bad news is they just won't work the way they are supposed too if not connected properly. The LED's must have the correct polarity to work.
In general, if you look real close (as in magnifying glass and flash light) you will see the ID for each set of pins is printed on the motherboard (pwr, rst,HDD,pwr sw,speaker) Just match what it says on the motherboard to what it says on the wires. Don't worry if you get the polarity wrong. If a light doesn't work just swap the two wires. The colored wires should be positve (+), though. The reset (rst) and power switch (pwr sw) wires don't require polarity.
These instructions are for most computers in general, YMMV.

Emachines t3830 I need the schematic for MB I umployed the wire for the push bottom without looking at the way they were plug. Now I do not know the correct aligning of the push bottom wires.

If you look at the motherboard there is usually a diagram labeled "FRONT PANEL HDR" that will tell you which pins are for: HDD LED, PWR LED, RESET, PWR ON. etc.
The chart / diagram may be a few inches away from front panel header.
the following example is from my emachine T2893 that I had opened because it won't power up.

the motherboard at the header connector labels pin #2 and with that you can figure out the other
pin numbers

example of diagram on motherboard (Confirm the pin numbers on your motherboard)

J9G1 PINS
| HD LED | 1 - 3 |
| PWR LED | 2 - 4 |
| RESET | 5 - 7 |

| PWR ON | 6 - 8 |

Hope this helps you figure which pins to hook you switch up to.

I have an emachines t6520 and the power sw wire, HDD led wire, and the power led wire hve been disconected

On the system board, on the left edge next to the primary IDE connector, there is a 9 pin header.
I usually get a magnify glass and look down on the header . From right to left, you will see PWR led pins closer to the edge of the motherboard.and the Power BTN next to it.(the side of the pins that has 4 pins on it)
Then on the other side, you will see the pins for the HDLED across from the PWR led. Then the Reset pins across the PWR BTN.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe
