Hi there My DS Lite has started to turn itself off straight after being turned on and its fully charged. It has had a new battery and I have got a brand new charger and the DS lite when turned on, turns itself off within 1-3 seconds, and this is happening everytime. Does anyone know what I have to do to fix this please? Thanks and Regards Simon

Hello there,
Unfortunately, something may be shorting out at the hinges causing the DS to shut down automatically. It is probably a ribbon cable damage. Try contacting Nintendo to try to get it fixed.
I hope this helps! Thumbs up are always welcome.

SOURCE: Hi there My DS Lite has started to turn itself

You may want to send this in for repair. I know a really good place called www.videogame911.com. My friend told me about them and they do really good repairs, I had my DS back within a week.

Everytime I wanted to charge my ds lite, the power turns red then it turned off in a second. I don't know where the problem comes, if it's the charger or the ds itself

Hi,

Possibly both, or it could be your battery. Have you tried another battery? or tried the same charger on another DS lite?

I suggest you get another battery or another charger, whichever is cheaper , or try it on a friends.

If your charger and your battery works, then it is your charging port, it will have to be replaced.

My ds lite won't charge.. the orange light appeared blinked

We had this problem with a brand new DS Lite...turns out it was a bad charger. If you have access to another charger, try that first. Good luck!

Turns on screen comes on and goes straight off

This is exactly what happens when either; A: your Ds lite's battery is dead, or B: your battery is worn out. If your Ds lite still does the same thing after you have let the battery FULLY charge before using it, then your battery is most likely the problem. If this is the case, then you need to buy a new battery, which is between $6 - $10 at some places. When you get your new battery (if you buy one), you need to first let the Ds lite charge COMPLETELY before use, and then after that let it fully (or at least mostly) die before charging it again. If you constantly charge it when it is half or mostly full, then than will MAJORLY shorten the battery life, and eventually cause the problem you described. You need to take care of the battery or it wont last very long.

NDS Lite Turns on but then after a few seconds turns itself off

Check the battery is fully charged, its always worth fully charging a battery before you start soyou can route that out.

Check the cable is fully in for the bottem screen, if it is not in the ribbon connector all the or at an angle somtimes this can happen, while checking that you might as well check the other cables as well just incase. let me how it goes.

Nintendo DS Lite will not turn on.

There may be a problem with the battery itself. The same thing happened to my sister's DS. You could take it to a repair shop, and for about $70 - $90 they will fix it. That in my opinion is better than
buying a new one for about $200.

Hope it helps~
