I have a Denon AVR-2105 and I have lost the remote. I want to enter the setup menu from controls on the Receiver.

I connected by Roku to a Denon 1804 Receiver this way:- I plugged the cable that came with the Roku into VCR2 input jack of the Denon. (I used VCR2 because it was available).- Using the remote from the Denon, I made sure the slide switch was on "Audio." (See page 20 of Denon Manual).- I pressed pressed the System Setup button- *System Setup appears in display of Denon- Using the cursor buttons I scrolled to menu Digital in Assignment- I set Menu item 16 Coaxial to VCR2 since that was the input jack I used for the Roku. - After making the selection press the CH Select Enter button to save- To exit the System Setup press the System Setup button again- When using the Roku, select the input source as VCR2 (or whatever jack you used). You should now have sound through the Denon.The most important step is to read the Denon manual starting on page 20

Maybe. Clearly something blew up. Diagnostic time costs money. Then there are parts and labor.

You can get a new one on ebay ending tomorrow for as little as $140 delivered.

after unit goes in STBY mode, hold SPK A, B buttons togather, press "On/Off" button, until you see front panel display all lights blink for 2 seconds. unit will function in digial/ anology auto mode, but digital perioity

Hi,

First make sure that your remote control is set to "Amp" as it can control many different devices.

Then make sure that you have connected the Monitor Out socket on the receiver to your TV.

Next make sure your TV is set to show the picture from the input you connected to the Denon monitor out.

Now press set-up button on the remote and the System Setup menu should appear on your TV.

The receiver has an internal problem like bad power supply or burnt channel. You need to bring it to a local repair shop or mail it here.

Front panel button engaged for 5 or 7 channel operation? Also check front panel rear surround speakers button is engaged. Should get you back to 7.1 unless you have changed the rear surround speaker setup for a 2nd zone, also be sure you have a 7.1 DSP setting enabled.
