I have no problem turning on my laptop but it gets stuck in the loading screen. The wheel under the Mac Book symbol is turning and everything seems to be running just fine but the system itself is stuck continuously loading. There is no problem turning my laptop on or off but it will not load to a functioning screen.

Hi This could be one of three things. 1. a corrupted file on your HD, or 2. the directory on the HD is corrupted, or 3 a failing HD
Try starting up from your installation DVD and then running disk utility. (Insert your DVD then shut down the Mac. Restart the Mac and hold down the C key until you see the Apple logo. Once you reach the screen that asks which language you want to use, select English and then from the menu bar chose disk utility and repair HD)
If you get a message to the effect that disk Utility cannot repair the disk, run it one more time. If you still get the message then you had better locate a service centre.
Sometimes letting the installation run its course and overwriting the existing system will fix it. In this instance, you select the archive and install option, otherwise you will erase your files as the HD will be wiped.
I hope you have your files backed up.

IBook G4 is stuck at the White Screen with grey apple, and circular loading symbol. It doesn't seem to be able to boot passed the white screen. I bought this used from a friend, it's been working...

Typically this white screen is due to a file system check running. If you boot in to single user mode (boot holding down the S key) you can run a manual file system check by typing in "fsck -f -y" (no quotes). This will run file system check -fix -yes to all

I cant print from mac book pro to canon pixmamx310 printer

Can you give more details on what is happening and what system you have? Have you installed the latest printer drivers and software, if you have what I would suggest that you go into system preferences then go to print and fax, if your printer is showing up there, I would delete it by clicking on it and clicking on the minus symbol. Then click on the plus symbol click on the printer under printer name and then select the appropriate driver under print using and then click on add. Sometimes if you already have the printer there and then update the drivers there can be problems.

Macbook not starting up past the grey screen with spinning wheel. started in command v and have black screen with lots of white writing

Seems like a hard drive problem. You may need data recovery first and then replace the hard disk. Good luck.

We have MacBook for sale for $499. Check it at http://www.computerstar.ca/

When I turn on my laptop the loading process gets as far as the initial blue screen and stops there. The screen will have the loading white symbol in the middle but then that will disappear and instead of...

Try dumping the RAM. To do this press the power button and then hold "Command, Option, P, R" before the gray screen appears. Then the computer will 'bing' and restart. Wait until it has 'binged' twice then let go.

IBook never completes loading, stuck at ble progress bar

I am running off memory, but I belive you can also hold either Option or Command key at chime startup and it will give you a visual option with booting to hard drive or disk drive.

Try that and see if it will show the option to boot from CD.

I would suggest probably reinstalling OS X

Stuck on initial screen on power up

sounds like your hard drive died, you should take it into a repair shop unless you know someone that can replace the drive and re-install OS X for you. you computer uses a 2.5" laptop hard drive.

Not loading when i turn the computer on

Start the computer from the installation CD, choose Disk Utility from the menu, and then choose Repair Disk with the internal HD selected. If that doesn't work, you can try a new OS installation. If your data is important, don't erase the drive during installation and select "Archive and Install" -- if your data is *NOT* important, you can just repartition the drive and install the OS.

When I turn on my Mac Book Pro

The flashing folder with hard drive symbol is telling you that the computer cannot find a bootable system folder (operating system). This could be because the hard drive is working properly, or the operating system folder has become corrupted. Try booting up from the system CD or DVD that came with your Mac Book Pro and see if it can repair your hard drive.
