Right and left side of TV concaved

I have the Akai PT5492S and both side of the screen are concaved. The sound and everything else are fine. Is there a fix I can do myself or do I need to call a repair person.

That unit has a couple of various problems that are common. The first, I would check the 2d comb filter for ring cracks. If you see any resoldering them should restore the picture,

If the distortion that you see can be described as somewhat of a 3-D picture, the problem is teh convergence circuit and this can be fixed easily. Also, if you can solder, you can fix this yourself. If you wish to do this, please update this and I'll provide you with some instructions.

I just had that problem. Check the terminal board that is on the left if you open the back of the TV. There is a thing in there with the number aa93-something. If you check under that board there should be some solders that have come loose. I just fixed this problem last night!!
