You have probably used up all your region changes. These are limited for copyright reasons.
Download Anydvd from Slysoft.com
This will run your dvds as "region free"
Burn them with Dvdshrink
Just bought THOMSON DV2137 in Australia (region 4) It plays Aus but not US. A small slip in the user's manual gave these (verbatim) instructions. UNFORTUNATELY it isn't working on my player."This unit has been set to play region 4 DVD discs. If you wish to use this unit outside of region 4 territory you can change the region setting by following the instructions below.1) Turn on the unit.2) Remove disc and press SETUP to enter SETUP menu.3) Press VOL+.VOL-,VOL+,VOL-, by order, then press MUTE to enter Region Code setting. [stays in SETUP menu]4) Press LEFT / RIGHT to choose between 1-4 or ALL region." Perhaps this will work for someone else or will trigger a clue.
Hi -
Most Thomson players are 'hackable', i.e. can be converted to region-free. The hand symbol suggests you are entering the correct code, but that the player may have been 'chipped' or has a different firmware version which disables the unlock method that works on other players of the same model or from other regions.
It's commonly US / Region 1 players that have the region code disabled. As you can't play US DVDs, this isn't a region 1 default player, so this improves the chances it can be unlocked.
I can't really tell you any more as you didn't include the model number of your DVD player. It would also help to know which region the player is locked to and the firmware version of the player - if you can find it. The model number should be on a label the back of the player somewhere and the firmware version may be available in the on-screen menu, under the heading "System Information" or something similar.
Please reply to me with this information by clicking on "Add a Comment" below your question and I'll see what can be done with regard to unlocking your player.

BElectric.
Thanks, already tried this, no luck.
