Reset HP 226dw

that model number is no good.
if a PC it is see below if a printer see 2nd post.
Restore the factory-set defaults (printer page 92)
why not post what this is first.
a PC a printer, what?
and what the problem is first.
be wise to do that.
PC's have more that 10 resets inside,
facts.
resets and recoveries and fresh OS reloads and more.
lots more.
tell what you have and what's up first.
win
and use the full model numbers not 1/2

Want to restore to factory settings

Which factory settings? If you mean the BIOS settings, when you start the machine, go into setup (could be F2, F11 or F12 depends on the motherboard) and there is a place in there (you'll see it when the screen opens) to reset to default. It will ask if you really want to do it, answer YES and it will reset all of your BIOS setting back to factory defaults. Once it resets, it will reboot the machine.

I have forgot my password for my lap top is there a way to reboot from factory settings?

Forgotten or lost Password -> "Methods to get into your PC/Laptop"

Factory settings -> Means the settings set by the OEM vendors when your first receive your PC/Laptop. You cannot boot into the factory settings once you have configure your PC/Laptop to your personal settings, but you can boot to "Safe Mode" and use the "Administrators" account to reconfigure other Users settings. To get back to "Factory Settings" you can use the OEM "Recovery CD" or "Recovery function from your Hard drive" depending on the OEM Vendors specifications for your PC/Laptop.

**Take note, All your data will be lost when you reverting your PC/Laptop to factory settings!!!

Hope it helps.

Reset system

The only area that can be reset to factory settings is the BIOS. Else use recovery cd to return the pc to orginal setup.
