This could be any number of things here are a few ideas to help isolate the problem:

  1. Disconnect all phones from the wall jacks
  2. Connect a phone to each wall jack, one at a time and test. This will help you determine if one of the all jacks is bad. Use the same phone for testing each jack. If you have a phone that does not require AC power, use that phone to test. If the same phone works at every wall jack, one of your phones is bad. You can now test each phone alone until you find the bad phone.
  3. If after testing each wall jack, you still have buzzing on the line you will need to contact the telephone company to test the line coming into the house or apartment.
  4. If you live in a house and can access the "box" where the phone lines enter the house, there is usually a jack where you can plug the test phone into and check the lines BEFORE they enter your home.
  5. If you test at the entry box and your phone works, you have a problem with the wires in your home. If you still have the buzzing, it is probably a telephone company problem
Good Luck!

How do i fix my phone, it rings, but i cannot dial out and there is lots of static and buzz when i pick up the phone

Do you have other phones on the same line?
Are they clear or do they have the static. If it is a telephone company old copper line and it happens on all phones it maybe a Telco problem.

My phone line is not working i have tryed another phone and the line is died

If neither phone is working it is 99% certain that the fault is outside the house. However take the top of the connection box where it enters the house and check the wires are still connected. Any carpets laid lately or workmen in house? If there is no sound at all it is a straight disconnection somewhere. If there is a buzzing or rasping sound it would indicate possible damp in the connection box.

We have a lot of static and loud buzzing on the phone

I had the same issue that started on some 3 year old 5.8 GHZ Uniden cordless phones. I moved it from room to room and same buzzing. I found a older Uniden set I had kept in a desk drawer. I swapped out the power transformer (power cord) and it is clear as a bell now.

Uniden dx15586-2 buzzes when on,to loud to use. battery is good.

I Had the same problem.
I found out what it was. The buzzing sound came from the AC/DC charger. I changed it and everything is working fine now !
Try with a AC/CD adaptater, putting it on the right voltage and check if it's working without this buzzing sound.
Have a good day !

Home Phone Line Buzzing

This phenomenon is the phone lines and phone instrument rectifying the RF signal from your cell phone as it communicates periodically with the cell sites. The energy is rectified (turned into voltage) by the phone lines and appears as a buzzing pulsing noice in the home phone. This will trash a fax compeltely. There is NO solution except to thrn of the cell phone or orient it away from phones and phone lines sufficiently to stop the interaction. You could put hte phone in a RF proof bag (metalized film) which would then prevent it from receiving an incoming cell call. Either way, you lose some usability of either home or cell phone for the duration of the issue.

Doro Home cordless phone not working

it sounds like you may not have any dial tone in the house. some phones have a light come on when the phone isn't recieving dial tone.[in your case the anntena] you can try plugging a corded phone into different jacks in the house.there maybe a box [called a nid] on the outside or in the basement/garage where you can plug a phone directly into it bypassing all the jacks in the house [there could be a problem in the house] if still no dial tone ,call your phone company

Phone/fax not working after thunderstorm

Is this the only phone this happens on?  If not, try going to the Phone box on your house and connecting in directly there.  If you still have a problem call your phone company.
