Toshiba satelite M35X-S114 sound is low

look on the mixer to see if the sound is muted . Check the setup to see if the correct audio port is selected for output.

The headphone jack is the audio out jack.

You need to go into the BIOS (setup) and reset to factory defaults first. This should clear up the issue.

Check your headphone jack. If you get sound to your headphones but not your speakers then more than likely your speakers are bad and you can order those online relatively inexpensive. However, it sounds like your drivers might be missing or corrupt. Check for viruses, spyware, etc. Go to www.toshiba.com and go to their support section. There you will find a drivers download section. Fill in the information for your laptop and download your sound drivers. Install your drivers and reboot your computer. Good luck!

Check your sound device levels. you may need to enable that headphone port before it is usable. you can do this in the control panel tab. reinstalling your sound drivers wouldn't hurt also.

I think you are on the right track, if the headphone jack is worn and shorting out itll kill the speakers because it thinks headphones are plgged in, ebay would be a good start for parts, maybe even call toshiba and speak to their tech support.

please check your speakers, try to insert headphones and hear if u can hear any sound, try to install drivers
if u can hear the sound with headphones means there is a problem with ur internal speakers
