Trouble printing from wired connections but wireless users are working fine

Its possible that in ap mode it cant handle wired and wireless and that the wired connection takes priority of the only available ip address, thus the wireless cards cant get an ip and so cant connect.

of course that could be b*****s but you never know.

yes i know you said it works fine when using xp pro so maybe the router doesnt release the ip correctly with win7.

any chance of installing a wifi card from one of the xp machines into the win7 machine just to test it?

can you test connecting one of the xp machines with wired and see if the other can connect using wireless?

So please You will have to reboot your router and all the wireless XP systems, while the Win 7 system is off. You may have to reboot the router once in a while. Not the most elegant solution, but this is the only way my XP systems with wireless would work.

Check the IP address on the Vista wireless network connection. Make sure that there is not static IP address on the wireless connection. That could be one of the reason.

So the desktop is working with the wired connection. That means the wired part of the router is working . you will need to check the wireless settings of the router. Hi,
what is the wireless status in system tray? is it local or local and internet.
1. first check if it works fine with wire conection or not.
2.if it fine with cable then issue is with wireless. probably issue with Wireless security key.
3. go to available wireless networks and select the net work, if it is asking for wireless key please enter that. if you donot remember that perform router reset.that takes care of it.

Cannot connect anymore

Does the router work with the wired port connection? It's entirely possible that the router just went belly-up on you ...Linksys is an awesome brand, but sometimes it happens.

If the wired part works, the wireless transmitter inside may have gone bad. Best to just get a new one for about $50 ...but keep the old one in case you need a wired connection somewhere else around the house :)
